Cats in Cornelius Kolig's Paradise

Many cats lived and still live in the paradise of artist Cornelius Kolig, running around the spacious area between the countless objects. All the cats have names, many have been “portrayed”. When asked why he had such a close relationship with cats, Kolig said that as a small child he had observed how newborn kittens in the area were sometimes put in sacks and thrown against the wall, the cats at the neighboring farmers were constantly hungry and emaciated, he would “steal” bread rolls and feed them. Many of Cornelius Kolig’s works are closely related to animals and their habitat.
